The book Same Sex Marriage: Is It Really the Same? by Mark Christopher offers a well thought out and researched solid biblical answer to the question that its title raises. In this small volume he does a number of very helpful things. First, he examines and exposits key biblical passages and concepts of what God intended marriage to be. He then proceeds to expose the folly of some of the presuppositions that homosexual proponents and activists raise in support of the normality of homosexuality. I found his discussion of the dangers of thinking that homosexuality is an innocuous and legitimate alternative life style and what he called the cultural creeds that led us to our current destination to be very insightful. In the last section of the book Pastor Christopher provides a very helpful strategy for the church as we face the onslaught of an unbiblical and destructive perspective on marriage and sexuality. After examining Scripture and the strongest arguments that those who want to say that same sex marriage is really the same, the author cogently and convincingly demonstrates that the answer to the question suggested by the title of the book is no they are not the same.
